Lip Balm Uses You Probably Didn't Know About
Everyone has used lip balm. When I say lip balm I'm talking about that waxy paste that comes in a tube. Not that shimmery stuff your mom puts on her lips. Not everyone realizes that lip balm can be a useful tool to have on you. Here's a few things the world has figured out lip balm is good for.
1. First Aid
It is a great applicator for small cuts! It will stop the bleeding and it will prevent infection by blocking dirt and debris from getting inside. It will also moisten your skin which allows it to heal faster!
2. Hand Ointment
Nothing worse than when you're out in cold weather and even your hands start to get chapped. Where your knuckles start to get rough or the skin between your fingers gets too dry. Well lip balm can act as a great fix! Just rub it on the dry spots on your hand.
3. Frostbite
If you rub lip balm on exposed skin it can help prevent frostbite by blocking the wind.
4. Sunscreen
Some lip balm has SPF, and in a pinch that SPF will work in places other than your lips!
5. Blisters
When you feel the back of your heal starting to get rubbed the wrong way you can apply lip balm and that'll prevent any further blistering!
6. Tinder
Not the dating app, but to start a fire. If you apply lip balm to kindling it will allow it to stay lit longer, making it easier to start a fire.
7. Stuck Zippers
Nothing worse than having a jacket or a backpack with a stuck zipper. Very frustrating. Apply some lip balm to the zipper to act as lubricant and it'll get the job done!
8. Knives
Apply lip balm to your blades and it will prevent rust! Actually, apply it to any metal to prevent rust.
9. Glasses
A little bit of lip balm will clean your glasses right up, and not only that, it will prevent them from fogging up.
10. Holes
Lip Balm will actually temporarily plug holes in things like your backpack or your tent. Just apply a chunk in the hole and it will plug it right up.
When you have a Balm Wallet, you will always have your lip balm, which means you'll always have the ability to use lip balm for a multitude of uses.
