Chapstick vs Burt's Bees

When it comes to lip balm are you brand loyal? When you need to buy a new tube do you buy the same brand and flavor every time, or do you mix it up and try something new? When watching how other people do it, it is surprisingly interesting that a lot of people stick with the same brand and flavor? Why is that? Is it habit, or do you actually find it that much better than the competition?

The two biggest brands that I am going to be comparing are Chapstick and Burt’s Bees. These two companies have the biggest stake in the lip balm market. There are multiple reasons on why. For Chapstick they were the first to the scene. Chapstick was invented in the 1880s whereas Burt’s Bees started in 1984. So, Chapstick has been around almost 100 years longer. So what is the biggest difference between these two companies? The main thing is ingredients. Burt’s Bees uses a beeswax and peppermint formula, and also has a thicker consistency. Every Burt’s Bees lip balm stays true to this formula. Chapstick has much more diversification when it comes to the type of lip balm they sell. One of their most popular sticks is the Chapstick moisturizer. This one is fantastic at moisturizing and also includes SPF to protect your lips from the sun.

 Conclusion

Both are going to make you feel a lot better when you have chapped lips and you apply their lip balm. Whether you like Chapstick or Burt’s Bees better is preference. Some people are very loyal to the brand that they buy and they never switch it up. Some people will buy a different tube of lip balm every time they have to get a new one just to change things up. At the end of the day it is up to you.
